Chapter 572: I, [Heart 9], Will Never Surrender
Beneath the black clouds.
As the two domains of the Witch God Path were opened in a desperate struggle, three even more terrifying domains crashed down from the sky like mountains. With just a touch, Feijia and Six-Claws were sent vomiting blood!
The two of them were only Sixth-Order; facing the combined force of three Seventh-Orders, they had no way to parry. They still couldn't understand why such a massive force was needed to deal with the two of them... Most of the [Floating Life Painting]’s top combat power must have been dispatched, right?
Seeing the two of them so easily defeated, the three members of The Hall who had come in pursuit couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.
Thank goodness... the Dusk Society wasn't as terrifying as the rumors suggested.
Meanwhile, the terrifying gaze that had been hanging above the black clouds seemed to lose interest. He had intervened only as an extra insurance policy; now it seemed these two weren't worth his personal attention.
The walkie-talkie in the pocket of one of the Hall members rang. He listened for a moment and nodded slightly.
"Understood."
He put away the walkie-talkie and said to the other two, "Their identities are confirmed. The one being chased by Wang Jincheng earlier is [Heart 6], and these two are [Spade 6] and [Heart 9]."
"The card values aren't high... not even a letter. No wonder they’re so weak."
"It seems we went to all this trouble for nothing this time."
"The opponent is the Dusk Society; being vigilant is never a bad thing... If there had been a J, Q, or K among them, things would have been troublesome."
"True."
The three stood in the void, looking down at the two pathetic Witch God Path users below. Their confidence gradually swelled; everything was now firmly under control.
Feijia and Six-Claws were covered in blood, sent flying by the domains of the three. They didn't give up resistance, but gritted their teeth and activated their skills, using the momentum to speed toward the dance hall!
One of the Hall members snorted, his voice echoing like thunder beneath the clouds:
"[Spade 6], [Heart 9], surrender! You cannot escape this rolling Red Dust!"
The two running for their lives shuddered at these words.
Deep confusion appeared in Six-Claws’ eyes.
"What did he call us...?"
"[Spade 6], [Heart 9]?" Feijia was horrified. "Could it be... could it be they don't know we’re from the Wuji Realm, and they don't know our plan... They’re chasing us just because they think we’re Dusk Society members??"
"Huh???" Six-Claws was completely bewildered. The situation kept reversing, leaving him unsure of what was real and what was fake. "No, what is going on here???"
"It’s probably that [Heart 6]’s doing again... I said it, why would they need such a massive force just to chase us two!!" Feijia was so angry he could have ground his teeth to dust. "We’ve been played by that [Heart 6]!!"
"Then what do we do now?! Show our cards to the [Floating Life Painting]? Tell them we aren't the Dusk Society?"
"Do you think they’d believe us?? They’d definitely subdue us, either kill us or use some method to pry our mouths open... They don't know about the Wuji Realm yet. Once they capture us, they’ll know everything! All our plans will be ruined!" Feijia’s mind was still clear, and he analyzed the situation instantly.
"So, them mistaking us for the Dusk Society is actually a good thing... at least our operation hasn't been exposed!"
"You mean..."
Six-Claws, while running for his life, was thoughtful.
A sharp glint flashed in Feijia’s eyes. He turned his head and roared at the three chasing them from the sky:
"Human civilization! Will never be extinguished!! If you have the guts, kill me!! I, [Heart 9], will never surrender!!"
"Heh, stubborn."
The three in the sky shook their heads, and three domains that blotted out the sky opened up again!
Six-Claws felt the terrifying aura from above and turned pale as paper. He knew he couldn't possibly leave alive today. Gritting his teeth, he said to Feijia:
"I’ll go stop them with my life; you try to see if you can activate the escape array... At the very least, we have to pass back what happened here."
"Good!" Feijia nodded heavily. He looked at Six-Claws and said seriously, "No need to fear death... when the time is ripe, the High Priest will summon our souls back and grant us rebirth and eternal life!"
"I naturally believe in the promise of the [Spirit Communication] leader."
Six-Claws grinned, turned without hesitation, and sprinted toward the three Hall members. His spiritual energy began to burn frantically, pouring everything he had into his domain!
Dense incantations swirled around him like a black sun. He laughed loudly:
"I, [Spade 6], will never surrender!!"
The three Hall members frowned slightly.
BOOM——!!!
As Six-Claws’ body exploded completely, the sky seemed to fall into chaos. A strange, giant incantation expanded rapidly in the air, and six giant, bright red palms tore through the void, reaching out to grab the three of them!
The speed of these six hands was too fast, or rather, the moment they appeared, time itself seemed to freeze.
In the black-and-white sky, the six bright red palms wrapped softly around the three, like smooth silk, beautiful and without a hint of murderous intent... Death arrived silently in tenderness.
Domain, [Silent Township].
One second later.
The surface of the six bright red palms began to crack visibly. Strands of morning glow shone through the cracks, as if a fiery red sun were rising from within.
These cracks became increasingly hideous and dense. With a crisp explosion, the six palms shattered into countless fragments. A red sun, embellished like an oil painting, hung behind the three Hall members, and thousands of morning clouds, like raging fire, dissolved the palm fragments into nothingness...
The final strike Six-Claws released with his life lasted only one second before falling apart.
The three Hall members stood beneath the oil-painted red sun, without a single scratch on them, their eyes locked on a black shadow in the distance.
In that short second, Feijia had also erupted with astonishing speed, flashing hundreds of meters in an instant, already arriving in the sky above the street where the dance hall was located!
A glimmer of hope appeared in his eyes. Just as he was about to crash into the dance hall, a splash of ink like a hideous thunderbolt pierced his chest in an instant!!
PUFF——!
This ink thunderbolt came too fast, and without any warning. Feijia only felt a numbness in his chest, and a hideous hole replaced his torso. His spiritual energy collapsed and dissipated, and his limp body crashed through the dance hall ceiling, landing on the floor amidst flying dust.
In the hazy, swirling dust, a figure in white, carrying an eight-foot ink brush, walked slowly from the distance.
