Chapter 386: The Glamour of Gold
That's right, developers should do developer work.
Ultraman is the CEO, the others are executives, but deep down, they're all code-obsessed fanatics.
They don't need to worry about anything; they can devote themselves entirely to development—that's the dream of so many tech teams!
"Damn, this is going to crush Google! Is there anything more exciting than this?"
"Just imagine, the thing we built with our own hands, rubbing that once-high and mighty company that kicked us out into the dirt... The sheer satisfaction is unimaginable! Hahaha!"
"That's right! I've been holding this grudge for years! I have to personally plunge a poisoned dagger into the hearts of those sons of bitches!"
Originally, they were thinking of sightseeing and relaxing for a few days after coming to China.
Now, those romantic notions in the minds of these tech geeks have long since vanished.
They just wanted to fly back to headquarters immediately, weld themselves to the servers, and plunge into the sea of code to begin this monumental development project!
Watching the team's morale instantly soar, Altman smiled with satisfaction.
But as he walked, a thought suddenly popped into his head.
'But... just how far does Fang Huan, this behemoth, intend to devour?'
At its current size, Fang Huan Investment was already an absolute abyssal dragon.
But they seemed never satisfied, forever hungry, forever expanding.
Now, they had even begun to point their fangs at those deeply rooted, supposedly unsinkable supercarriers.
If someone else said they wanted to take down Google, Altman would have just dismissed it as drunken ramblings and laughed it off.
But today, when he looked directly into Su Hao's terrifyingly calm eyes, he truly felt it.
Fang Huan was serious.
They genuinely wanted to crush the remains of the ancient gods and, upon those ruins, establish a completely new, unique, and supreme empire.
An empire named "Fang Huan"!

The meeting with Nick Ultraman was a veritable brainstorming session, incredibly exciting.
Especially the speed of the artificial intelligence's evolution, which truly exceeded Su Hao's expectations, even startling him.
What's more, it was only a preliminary version.
"Chairman Su, is it really that exaggerated?" Li Huilin asked curiously from beside him.
“It’s more than just an exaggeration,” Su Hao nodded. “The speed of technological evolution is more terrifying than imagined; the iterations are truly irrational.”
“Wow! Does that mean that in the future, students doing homework, and us working people writing reports and creating spreadsheets, can all be outsourced to AI with a single click?”
“Well, if what I saw today is just a half-finished product, then what you’re describing, I estimate, could be achieved within two years.”
In his glimpse of the future, the entire world operates on a massive artificial intelligence system.
Even bionic robots equipped with advanced AI have appeared.
The cyberpunk era of humans coexisting with AI and robots, as depicted in movies, is no longer a distant fantasy, but a reality about to be slapped in the face.
“Is there anything else?” Su Hao pulled himself out of his thoughts and looked at Li Huilin.
“Yes. Mr. Su, the Turkish lira's exchange rate has been acting very strangely lately.”
“Oh?”
“Normally, 7 lira to 1 US dollar is a stable range. But now, it's soared to 9.”
“That's a pretty sharp rise.”
“Yes, the problem lies with their president's bizarre economic policies.
That guy and his governing team probably had their economics taught by a PE teacher; their thought processes are incredibly peculiar.
They firmly believe that ‘high interest rates lead to high inflation,’ so they recklessly forced interest rate cuts, directly causing the lira's value to collapse.”
High interest rates lead to high inflation?
Su Hao almost thought he misheard.
This is utterly outrageous, a move that would make any economist turn in their grave.
A normal person knows that curbing inflation requires raising interest rates.
But the Turkish president has publicly stated that “interest rates are the embodiment of Satan,” expressing his deep abhorrence of high interest rates.
"So, the governor of Turkey's central bank warned him several times, but he not only ignored it but also found it annoying and fired the governor.
He fired three governors in total!"
Good heavens, three central bank governors, all ousted because they refused to go along with his madness.
This operation is utterly insane.
"So, the current sustained low-interest-rate policy has caused inflation to spiral completely out of control?"
"That's right. So the lira's value is plummeting.
Logically, after things like this, he should have come to his senses, right?
But no, he firmly believes his 'truth' is correct, and even talks about further interest rate cuts."
Su Hao almost laughed in anger. Such a genius existed in this world.
He used the collapse of a nation's economy to personally prove the basic common sense that "low interest rates trigger inflation."
Reality had already thrown the bloody answer in his face, yet he still insisted on running headlong down this path of no return.
"Impressive, truly impressive."
"Right now, international capital is fleeing Turkey in a panic, frantically withdrawing its investments, which is further exacerbating the lira's collapse.
Everyone predicts that at this rate, the lira's value will continue to plummet.
We might very well witness the extreme scenario of 20 lira to the dollar very soon."
Li Huilin wasn't suggesting Su Hao short the lira, of course.
"Foreign capital is running faster than rabbits, and that president is panicking too.
So he started a frantic 'investment attraction' campaign, unprecedentedly relaxing all restrictions on overseas capital, advertising all over the world.
In short, he's sending out SOS signals everywhere."
"Why doesn't he just raise interest rates and solve the problem?"
"No way, he says it's his belief, and he'd rather die than submit."
Sometimes, a person's obsession is more terrifying than ten thousand mountains.
A broad, sunny road is laid out before him, but he refuses to take it, insisting on twisting his back to walk the narrow bridge to hell.
"It's also thanks to his damned obsession that foreign capital panicked and fled, giving us a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The Turkish government made an exception and relaxed many previously strictly regulated industries. I've compiled a list of promising companies there; please take a look."
Su Hao took the list and skimmed through it.
Sure enough, there were quite a few good items here, almost like finding bargains at a market.
He continued reading, circling several seemingly attractive company names with his pen.
Suddenly, his gaze was drawn to one name, unable to look away.
"BaiKa?"
Among the long list of names, only this one gleamed with a blindingly gaudy gold light.
"Oh, this company is a bit special. It started out making auto parts, then transformed, and now it's making drones.
And they're military-grade."
