Chapter 219: A Lucky Hit: Hitting the Bullseye
"Thump, thump, thump... Ah—so refreshing!"
Qin Han downed a glass of wine, letting out a long sigh. The feeling was like plunging into an ice cellar on a sweltering summer day—every pore in his body seemed to be singing a song of relief.
The subsequent "burp~" was even more powerful and satisfying, a truly exhilarating experience.
In the past, this guy was incredibly aloof.
He was the epitome of a "corporate tycoon," always maintaining a certain air, as if afraid of appearing unreliable.
But now, he sat there casually, munching on skewers, his mouth greasy, looking exactly like a construction foreman who had just finished a day's work and was now at a barbecue stall drinking beer and eating skewers.
This sudden change in demeanor was utterly unexpected.
"Hahaha! I have to say, Brother Su, you're something else!"
Qin Han grinned, reeking of alcohol, and leaned closer.
"Alright, I'm not going to live in my damn villa anymore. Why don't I just move next door to you? We can grab a bite more often, wouldn't that be great?"
Su Hao didn't even bother to lift his eyelids. He picked up a skewer of grilled meat, juicy and fragrant, and slowly popped it into his mouth, replying vaguely:
"Uh, my house is a top-floor duplex, there's no next door."
"..." Qin Han's smile froze for half a second. "Then... upstairs?"
"No, there's no upstairs. My house is on the top floor."
"Damn! There must be someone downstairs, right?!"
"Downstairs," Su Hao shrugged, giving a helpless look, "Brother Huang from Fang Huan Investment lives there."
"Holy crap! When did that old bastard Huang Fengwen make his move? He was way too fast!"
Qin Han slapped his thigh, his face filled with regret and resentment at missing out on a fortune.
Su Hao chuckled, "Your villa would be a royal mansion in ancient times, and you're still eyeing my pigeonhole?"
"Hey, don't even mention it, that's ancient history!" Qin Han waved his hand.
"Architecture changes so fast, new technologies and designs emerge endlessly. Ultimately, newly built buildings are always more comfortable.
But what can I do? That villa is a treasure my dad painstakingly built brick by brick before he died, and my mom won't agree to move in, so I just have to make do in that old relic."
"Tsk tsk, this barbecue, paired with an ice-cold beer, is amazing! It's a match made in heaven! No wonder Huang Fengwen said it's his favorite place."
Qin Han ate with a rosy complexion. If you covered his face, just by listening to his tone, who would guess he was the chairman of the renowned Jiangjin Group?
Honestly, if you said he was some idle vagrant from the neighborhood, a bunch of people would believe you.
“Don’t be surprised, kid.” Qin Han seemed to see through Su Hao’s thoughts.
“Before I took over, our group’s public relations department hired someone to do a special image plan and persona packaging for me.
So, now everyone thinks I’m a taciturn, mature beyond my years, with an IQ of 180, and the ultimate domineering CEO who has no personal hobbies other than work.”
To be honest, Su Hao actually believed that back then.
After all, before reaching the pinnacle of power, the image of this Chairman Qin in the media was practically perfect:
Speaking with dignity, possessing a shrewd mind, a graduate of a prestigious university, and business acumen that far surpassed his peers.
He was the ultimate version of the “perfect child” from a wealthy family.
"That's all just to fool outsiders, a persona for the media." Qin Han's tongue was already slurring.
"They all think I'm a man of few words, but you know what? I fucking love to chat!"
"You don't just love to chat, you're a chatterbox," Su Hao added mentally.
This guy is alright when he's sober.
But once the alcohol hits him, his chatterbox is like a burst dam, unstoppable.
He can talk about everything from the origins of the universe to how many puppies Old Wang's dog had yesterday.
After a few rounds of drinks, Qin Han finally steered the conversation back on track:
"Alright, Brother Su, let's get down to business. What are you planning to do with those plots of land you hoarded?
And how did you somehow know beforehand that Jiangjin Group was going to build a chip factory there?"
"You're planning to buy it?" Su Hao countered calmly.
“I’ve checked, the market price has increased more than tenfold! Don’t worry, the price definitely won’t leave you at a loss, so what do you say?
Sell or not, give me a straight answer!”
“If you’re willing to sell, then I have to give it to you,” Su Hao said casually.
“Alright, alright, stop with the nonsense.” Qin Han laughed, “I’ve already figured out what you’re up to!
You’ve also hoarded so much land, all around the chip factory that our Jiangjin Group plans to build. Isn’t that what you’re planning to do, build a factory for your own AMC company there? Am I right?”
Su Hao’s heart skipped a beat, but he remained outwardly calm.
He was overthinking it, completely overthinking it.
He had never even considered building a factory for AMC company!
The reason he bought that land was purely to build a cool “guild activity base” for his brothers in his own gaming “guild”!
However, Qin Han had clearly misunderstood, and it was a beautiful misunderstanding at that.
"The location you chose, kid, is absolutely brilliant!" Qin Han became increasingly excited, looking at Su Hao as if he were a once-in-a-century strategic genius.
"It's a stroke of genius! If your AMC company builds its factory there, it'll be right across from our Jiangjin Industrial Park! Technical cooperation and talent exchange will be as convenient as visiting someone's home!
Your AMC can develop rapidly, and we can break free from our dependence on those foreigners.
Then, the two of us brothers can join forces, fully unleash AMC's technological potential, and those bastards at Nvidia's market share will naturally be devoured by us!!"
"Buzz—" These words struck Su Hao like a bolt of lightning.
Su Hao instantly had an epiphany!
So that's it!
His almost supernatural intuition, which had guided him to buy those seemingly ordinary plots of land, had actually been working on this very "secret"!
This move was a complete accident, a lucky break that hit the bullseye!
"Didn't you previously want to deepen your cooperation with 'Visionox'?" Su Hao asked tentatively.
"Cooperating with them is certainly good; who would turn down money?
But as you've seen, those guys are clinging to TSMC like glue!
Probably because switching production lines is too troublesome and too costly."
"If we keep guarding against each other like this, even if they use our products temporarily, they'll eventually switch to another company.
Rather than letting outsiders benefit and then potentially being betrayed, why don't we join forces and take over the whole business? Keep the profits within the family, don't you think?"
As he spoke, Qin Han personally poured Su Hao another glass of wine, handing it to him, his eyes fixed intently on him.
"We're forever staunch allies, right?"
"Didn't I say that last time?" Su Hao took the glass, his smile sincere, "I don't have any grand ambitions, I just hope that every single Chinese company can become incredibly successful."
