Play God is about to end!

From 2023 to almost 2026, Play God has been serialized for over two years. This journey of excitement, anticipation, struggle, and pain is about to reach its end.

I remember when I wrote the first chapter, everything about Play God was still an unknown. Most of the settings, characters, and story background were perfected bit by bit during the serialization. After two years, a small chapter that was originally just an idea is slowly turning into a vast and magnificent world.

The content of the fifth volume revolves around Chen Ling restarting the world. It is world-ending, and also world-saving.

Chen Ling, who became the sixth-generation Red King, took on the responsibilities that previous Red Kings had borne. He is no longer defined by the world as "human" or "world-ending"; he is Chen Ling, he is the sixth-generation Red King, he is the person he wants to be in his heart.

In this volume, the peripheral members of the Twilight Society, who were described less before, gradually appeared in the story. Some are phonograph administrators, some are coroners, some are letter writers, some are brain surgeons... They might not be the protagonists or core characters, but as the tentacles of the Twilight Society, they are deeply rooted in every corner of the world...

Erjiu might not have the opportunity to describe their stories in detail. This opportunity might be left to everyone, as well as the 5-generation or 4-generation members who might exist in the future of the Twilight Society? Their stories are left to the imagination of the readers.

And in this volume, the key characters are the last four Nine Lords of the human apocalypse.

Actually, whether it’s Wujijun or Lingxujun, as Erjiu said, the Nine Lords are always the Nine Lords of humanity.

The existence of every individual is complex, and legends even more so. We cannot judge a person through pure good or evil. Perhaps every reader has a different interpretation of them, but regardless, they are there.

At the end of the fifth volume, Chen Ling bid farewell to all the Twilight Society members and all the realms, completing the restart at the moment the Red Star destroyed the Earth... Reversing the era and restarting the world is the reason for the Twilight Society’s existence, and also what they pursue in every era.

But restarting the world might mean a phased ending for the Twilight Society, but for the fate of humanity as a whole, it is just a turning point.

And restarting usually means parting. Those friends who once fought side by side with Chen Ling will rush to the final battlefield with him in another form, so this volume seems to keep killing people...

But, everyone, this is not the end of the story.

The final sixth volume is undoubtedly the final battle between humanity and the Red Star.

The content of this volume might be very short. Erjiu isn't sure about the specific length... Short as two or three months? Long as five months?

In short, the plot after restarting the world will not be disconnected from the previous plot, nor will it easily open new story lines. Everything is based on Chen Ling and continues to move forward.

Whether it’s God-Slayer or Play God, Erjiu usually writes very little for the volume-end remarks of the final volume. Perhaps at this node, besides continuing to push the ending of the story, there doesn't seem to be anything else to say...

Just like the end of the previous volume, after this volume is finished, Erjiu will rest for three days and then start the plot of the final volume.
